Angela
Angela joined Central Carolina Endodontics as a dental assistant in 2020. She enjoys being a part of a team of competent, caring, and compassionate individuals. Angela delights in meeting patients and making personal connections with them to help ease their fears. It is always her goal to be considerate and encouraging. On her days off, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. She’s been married for over 30 years, has 3 grown children, and 2 grandchildren.
April
April graduated from Midlands Technical College with a certificate in dental assisting in 2014. After working as an assistant for many years she now works at the front desk. She is happy to answer your questions, schedule appointments, help resolve concerns and make your visits positive. It is important to her that each patient has a feeling of ease and confidence in our office. She loves the care our doctors have for our patients; they take the time to see if a root canal is necessary and determine what is best for each patient and each tooth in the long term. She enjoys the tight-knit feel of our staff, and that we are truly a team that works well together and enjoys each other’s company.
Brittney
Brittney joined the Central Carolina Endodontics team in 2012. She is from Orangeburg, SC, and attended Winthrop University as an undergrad, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Commercial Photography. After college, she decided to return to her hometown and seek a career outside of her education, and joined a dental family for the first time. She has worked between all three of our offices at the front desk, and now primarily works with accounts receivables and marketing. She makes appointments, verifies insurance, and is happy to help patients with all their endodontic needs. She has thoroughly enjoyed learning the field of Endodontics and takes great pride in helping to put patients at ease about the treatment they need. She has been married to her wife for six years and has two young children. She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and summers spent at the family lake house at Lake Marion.
Christy
Christy has been with us since 2020. She is the lead assistant in the Orangeburg office. The most rewarding part of her job is taking care of patients and helping them understand their treatment and keep their nerves at ease. She enjoys meeting new people and finding a connection with each patient she interacts with. In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her four children.
Crystal
Crystal joined our team in 2020 as one of our Dental Assistants. She loves this specialty and states, “She is living the dream.” Patients appreciate her gentle and compassionate bedside manner. In her downtime she enjoys spending time with her husband and their 6 teenage daughters, taking her 2 Goldendoodles to the park, apple picking, and watching a good movie!
Gretchen
Gretchen has been a member of the Central Carolina Endodontics team since 2021. Before joining the team, she assisted chairside in Oral Surgery for 26 years. Her goal has always been to provide a compassionate and caring atmosphere for her patients and to work cohesively together with her team members. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring new recipes in the kitchen and spending time with her family.
Janae
Janae recently graduated from Edisto High School and is new to the dental field and our team. She is enjoying making new bonds with her coworkers and patients. In her downtime, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Kristen
Kristen has been with our team since 2019. She is the front desk receptionist in the West Columbia office and travels to the Irmo location as well. While working up front she makes sure that all the patients get checked in and have all the information needed for their visit. Getting to know the patients and helping with their needs is very important to her. During her time off, Kristen loves spending time with her husband, going to Disney, spending time with her two nieces, and just relaxing!
Lauren
Lauren has been with Central Carolina Endodontics for three years and has been a dental assistant for sixteen years. She enjoys putting patients at ease and bonding with each one before, during, and after their treatment. During her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, traveling, and reading.
Patti
Patti attended Medix School in Glen Burnie, MD, and has about 40 years of experience in dental assisting. She joined the Central Carolina Endodontics team in 2009, assisting the doctors with patient care and helping the rest of her teammates whenever needed. She enjoys meeting so many different people, helping with their care, and making a difference in their lives by improving their oral health. She has been married for 33 years and has two children. She enjoys being outside, especially running, hiking and camping. Her other hobbies include reading, gardening, and crafts.
Roni
Roni has worked for Central Carolina Endodontics for 3 1/2 years. She works in the back office primarily in Irmo and handles accounting and clerical business. She enjoys working with Dr. Bonavilla and the rest of the team part-time. She has been married to the love of her life for 42 years and has three grown children and six grandchildren. Her hobbies include quilting, gardening, raising a flock of chickens, and her two dogs.
Taylor
Joining Central Carolina Endodontics in 2022, Taylor graduated from the Expanded Duty Dental Assisting Program at Midlands Technical College in early July of 2022. She is very passionate about the dental field, especially endodontics! She loves making connections with her patients and getting to know everyone individually during their visit. Her goal is to make each patient smile or laugh at least once before the end of their treatment! In her free time, Taylor enjoys spending time with friends and family. (Especially her four-legged friends!) She loves doing anything spontaneous and adventurous that will make for a great memory or story to tell!
Tuannisha
Tuannisha has been a dental assistant for 16 years. She completed a Dental Assistant program at Delaware Valley Job Corps in Callicoon NY, graduating with honors. She is from NYC but moved to South Carolina in 2014. She began assisting with Central Carolina Endodontics in April 2017 and says it was one of her best decisions. Making sure our patients have a calming and peaceful experience is important to our team. She will talk about random things and experiences while helping with your treatment. She loves to laugh and make others laugh so she can be a jokester at times, bringing out her silly side from having a silly teenager at home! Her goal is to make sure your treatment goes smoothly and having some fun throughout the process will create an experience you won't forget. She has a teenage son named Mannix whom she loves dearly. Basketball is their shared sport, she may be 36 but she can keep up with the best of them. She enjoys watching and critiquing movies, listening to music, reading, dancing, and making jewelry. She loves the beach, it brings her peace and clarity.
Vickie
Vickie studied business at OC Tech and joined Central Carolina Endodontics in 2007. She is responsible for administrative duties and ensuring that the office runs smoothly, which enables our doctors to concentrate on what’s truly important: our patients! She enjoys building relationships with our referring offices and ensuring that we are the best choice to meet their patients’ needs. She has dedicated over two decades to our practice as the Office Manager and is an invaluable asset to our team. In her downtime, she enjoys fishing with her husband on the river and watching her grandchildren play sports.
